Frequently asked questions

What are reusable period pads?

Reusable Period Pads are an eco-friendly, cost-effective alternative to disposable menstrual products. Made from soft, absorbent materials, these pads are designed to be washed and reused multiple times. Comfortable, durable, and leak-proof, they provide a sustainable solution for managing your period while reducing waste. Available in various sizes and absorbencies to suit your flow.

How do you use reusable period pads?

How to Use Reusable Pads:

  1. Snap in place: Place fleece side of the pad against your underwear, ensuring the absorbent patterned side is facing up. Use the snaps to secure it in place.
  2. Wear: Enjoy comfort and protection throughout your day, just like a regular pad.
  3. Remove and Rinse: After use, remove the pad and rinse it with cold water to remove excess blood.
  4. Wash: Machine wash or hand wash the pad with mild detergent. You can also use a mesh bag for easy washing. Do not use any fabric conditioner as this will effect how absorbent your pads will be in the future.
  5. Dry: Hang the pad to air dry.

Repeat this process as needed. With proper care, your reusable pads can last for years!

Where do I start with using reusable period pads?

As exciting as buying all of our fun designs is, we would recommend new reusable pad users to start of by buying one to two pads and trying them to see how they work for you. This way you will be able to see which sizes and absorbencies work best for you as everyone's period is different and you can build your pad stash from here!

We recommend for a first pad to get either our 10 or 12 inch size in either regular or heavy flow options as these will be used in most peoples cycles.

How many reusable pads will I need to cover my whole period?

As everyone's period is different, its quite tricky to say an exact number but I have found this as a very rough guide:

For a Light Flow: You might need about 5-7 pads to cover your entire period.

For a Medium Flow: About 7-10 pads should be sufficient.

For a Heavy Flow: You may want to have 10-12 pads, especially if you're on your period for more than 5 days.

Depending on if you wash your pads during your period, you may not need as many than if you prefer to wash all your pads after your period.

Do you post worldwide?

Unfortunately, we only post to the UK and a few places within Europe. We will not be posting to the United States due to reusable period pads being seen as medical devices. Other countries may become possibilities in the future though!
